He became interested in woodcarving at the age of 14. He graduated from the Fine Arts High School in Miejsce Piastowe near Krosno (his sculpture teacher was, among others, Władysław Kandefer, Bogdan Biernat, and Roman Górka). In the years 1985–97 he worked as an educator at the Children’s Holiday House in Rymanów Zdrój. From 1997 professionally involved in woodcarving, ceramics, foundry and painting. He is particularly interested in sacred themes, portrait and landscape. Inspirations, ideas result from contact with nature, landscape, man, tradition and history. Some works feature apocalyptic and surreal elements. He uses various techniques in woodcarving, including tanning, gluing of small elements, various types of wood (linden, larch, ash, oak). In painting, he uses his own technique that enhances the texture (impasto is applied to the rigid foundation, which is later patinated, painted in oil or acrylic technique). I also make casting models (cooperation with glass factories, metal casters).
